Financial Aid

To qualify for federal aid for college students and parents must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aide (FAFSA).  Federal programs that are associated with the completion of the FAFSA include grants, work study programs, federal student loans and many scholarships.  You can not have access to these programs without completing this form! The FAFSA is available for being filled out October 1 of the student’s senior year in high school.  Parents and students are now able to use the previous years taxes when completing the FAFSA, making it much easier to fill out the FAFSA *Please note that in addition to completing the FAFSA, there is also additional paperwork that must be filled out and submitted to the college where the student will be attending.  Please refer to the deadlines for Utah schools below. You can also link into each Utah college’s financial aid web page by clicking on the school links below. Remember that the FAFSA is free. There are sites and companies that are scams and try to get your money for filling out the FAFSA. For more information on scholarship and financial aid scams, read “Don’t Get Scammed on Your Way to College!” and “Save Your Money and Identity” pdf files at the bottom of this page.  There are several useful pdf files at the bottom of this page.

Before completing the FAFSA it is recommended that you obtain a FSA ID for both the student and parent. This is needed before you can sign the completed FAFSA electronically.  It can take up to 24 hours for this ID to be verified after creating it. To create your FSA ID visit the following FAFSA ID link:
