Advanced Placement courses are a great opportunity for students to experience a college level course while they are still in high school. Students are able to earn college credit at most colleges and universities with a score of a 3, 4, or a 5 on an AP exam. However, how colleges award credits varies. For more specific information on how AP credits are awarded, students should contact the individual colleges and universities they plan to attend. There are also links at the bottom of this page that show how each of the colleges and universities in Utah are presently accepting AP credits.

How do I order an AP Exam?
For the 2020 AP exams, students at Riverton High School will be registering online. This registration will take a few minutes and can be completed online. The cost of each exam is $98.00. In order to register, students should click on the following link: www.TotalRegistration.net/AP/450461. Registration will be open between August 19th through October 4th. Students can pay a late fee of $10 between October 2nd and October 4th. To complete the registration, students should answer all the required questions. Please be sure to have a credit or debit card available before beginning the registration process. We strongly encourage both the parent and student to register for the exams together to ensure that students sign up for the appropriate exams. A full refund is possible through Friday, October 4th. A $40.00 processing fee is applied to refunds requested between October 4th and March 4th. After March 4th, no funds will be refunded.
This year each AP exam costs $98. This price reflects the cost of the exam and all processing fees. It is our desire that every student be able to take their AP exams. Students requiring financial assistance should contact Amy Trimble.
